Most of these patterns are seamless (the nature of some of the patterns just don't do the whole "seamless" thing very well). They are made up of a bunch of different "micro patterns" - small, simple patterns that would work well for any number of purposes. You could use the different "dots" patterns to add to an image and make it look like newspaper print, for example. These are also available as a micro patterns brush set.
